Professional Development for Staff and Teachers

At AISC, we prioritize the continuous professional development of our staff and teachers to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide the best education for our students. Each year, we implement a variety of training programs tailored to meet the evolving needs of our educators and the school community.

Key Features of Our Professional Development Programs:

ISS Education Platform: We utilize the ISS Education platform for a range of professional development opportunities. This platform offers access to a variety of online courses and resources that help educators enhance their teaching practices and stay current with educational trends.

Child Protection Training: At the beginning of each academic year, all staff participate in mandatory child protection training. This training ensures that our educators are aware of best practices for safeguarding children and are equipped to create a safe and supportive environment for all students.

Friday Professional Development Sessions: Every Friday, we dedicate time for collaborative professional development sessions. During these meetings, teachers engage in discussions, share strategies, and participate in workshops that focus on various aspects of teaching and learning. Topics may include classroom management, differentiated instruction, and integrating technology into the curriculum.

Annual Commitment: Our commitment to professional development is reflected in our annual training requirements stipulated by the Middle School Association. Staff and teachers are expected to participate in professional development activities each year, ensuring they remain engaged and informed in their practice.
