Welcome Back, Mighty Geckos!

The AISC Campus is open for teaching and learning!

On August 31, 2020, The American International School of Conakry opened its doors to students, faculty, staff, and families…all while wearing masks, of course! Student and teacher desks are equipped with plexiglass installations to reduce the transmission of Covid19. Before an individual enters our campus, their temperature is checked at the front gate.

We open our school gates not only to educate our students but to instill in them the very audacity and responsibility they will need for this ever-evolving world we live in.

“It takes a village…”

Our teachers love to teach and our students love to learn, but isn’t there so much more that goes into helping, guiding, and preparing an individual for the road ahead? At the American International School of Conakry, we are more than just a school, we are a community; we are a village.

AISC celebrates each student’s unique qualities beyond test scores and classroom performance. Whether a student excels as a young computer coder, shines during the Winter Break concert as a swing dancer, or receives a Student-of-the-Month award, all of our Mighty Geckos play a special role in making our village a truly warm, wonderful, and welcoming place.

Our Advantages

The American International School of Conakry is a co-educational day school from Pre-K through Grade 12. It is non-profit and non-denominational. At AISC, education is not so much a matter of imparting knowledge, or teaching “a thing.”  It is, rather, helping kids make powerful decisions.

Our teachers are native English speakers recruited from America, Canada, Australia, Europe and Africa.  Small class sizes and flexible block scheduling allow for personalized learning experiences with free movement and collaboration between grades.
